They had a digger on site with a faulty beacon not going and health and safety regulations prohibit the use of large gear without a beacon, so they weren't able to use the digger. They called us in the morning asking us to be there as quickly as possible to find the fault and get the beacon working again.
Because we didn't know what was wrong with the beacon we picked up a beacon from a parts supplier and headed over to the site. We arrived within an hour from the call and started looking around for the fault. We found the cable had rubbed on some metal and shorted out. We repaired the cables, sleeved the cables for protection, replaced the fuse and had the beacon working within an hour.
